
Texas A&M continues to build momentum worldwide –and was also celebrated recently by Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas Awards for its nasal spray therapy targeting Alzheimer’s disease. It was selected among the world’s top 100 innovations addressing urgent challenges.
Now, Texas A&M University has soared to the No. 2 spot for most visible public universities, as well as No. 8 among all U.S. institutions. The news comes from American Caldwell’s 2025–2026 Global University Visibility (GUV) Rankings and marks an amazing new accomplishment for the university. Texas A&M has soared from their previous sixth place last year among U.S. public universities, bounding past UCLA, Arizona State, Michigan, and UC Berkeley this year.
Texas A&M jumped from No. 21 to No. 13 worldwide, which is the largest leap in the Top 15. It remains the most visible University in Texas, and the SEC, and is now one of the world’s most discussed, searched, and followed higher learning educational institutions. The GUV Rankings evaluate the brand strength and prominence of 1,000 universities worldwide covering a 12-month period. These rankings are independent, data-driven and draws on multiple publicly-available data sources including news coverage, social media engagement, search engine activity, YouTube viewership, and website traffic.
Texas A&M’s 2024–2025 visibility highlights include:
- 70+ million YouTube views, a 21,000% increase year-over-year, with 89% of views from outside Texas;
- 3 million+ followers across official Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn channels;
- 8 million visits to tamu.edu;
- 53,000+ news mentions, an 80% increase from last year;
- 500,000 monthly web searches, showing rising national interest and attention.

The visibility gains are a direct result of investments in brand storytelling, digital engagement, and strategic partnerships including Dude Perfect, SXSW, Fast Company, the Associated Press, and activations in NASCAR and IndyCar. These collaborations amplify Texas A&M’s research, values, impact, and national recognition.
The top of the 2025 – 2026 GUV Rankings is led by Harvard, MIT, and Standford. Amid institutions outside the United States, the only universities and higher learning institutions to rank higher than Texas A&M were Oxford, Cambridge, King Saud University, and the University of British Columbia.
