A new TXB gas station has opened in Bryan on University Drive, with lots of positive feedback and attention, despite having just opened in the last week of August. Of course, it helps that the convenience store has created more than 30 new jobs in the Brazos Valley.

The first three letters in TXB Gas Station stand for Texas Born – and it shows. The company’s brand values are hospitality, authenticity, and integrity, with the goal of reflecting a ‘Texas feeling’ to every visitor. The TXB Gas Station sells fan-favourite products, like T-shirts and signature salsa, with plenty of private-label items.

“All of our team members that are working in the store, they live in and around the communities where they work, so we like to give back to those communities,” explained Anne Felz, marketing manager for TXB.

This approach has left TXB workers in the area feeling grateful and appreciated.

“It’s really just a good company to work for because when you come in they treat you like family, and you do become family, and once you start coming in we all become family because we are familiar faces. I mean it’s really nice to be around the energy is really good,” noted Ashley, the TXB store lead.

It’s clear TXB is about more than a quick gas stop top-up, with delicious chicken tenders that are hand-breaded and never frozen, while made-to-order tacos are on tortillas pressed daily in-store. One meal has already proven popular in Bryan and beyond, according to Ashley.

“Sometimes, I see people three times a day, so it’s really popular, a lot of people get the chicken quesadillas or the breakfast quesadillas, and we have a lot of store brand products.”
